I am often asked what is involved in integrating a management system. I explored this during a 30 minute interview with Deane Hogg, CEO of a manufacturer of packaging solutions to the food industry. Deane tells us of his experience of the process he went through including the benefits he has found just 10 months after becoming ISO certified.
My thanks go to Deane for kindly sharing his experience with us.
An important piece of history has been made available to the public. The NBC documentary 'If Japan can why can't we?' is available to watch in its entirety after 35 years. There are important lessons for leaders here.
Just remember that this was before Lean, before Six Sigma and before the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards....enjoy!
Travelling home from Sydney recently I happened on an article written by Christopher Luxon, Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand in the in-flight KiaOra magazine.
What resonated with me was this passage
“....sustainability in New Zealand is often misunderstood as being exclusively about environmental issues. In fact, sustainability is a much bigger and broader concept than that. It’s about sustainable development and growth – economically, socially and environmentally.” – Christopher Luxon
